For the 2026-2027 school year, Estrellas de Camerún is partnering with Étoiles du Cameroun for the first time in an initiative to help orphaned and vulnerable children in Cameroon attend school.
In some communities in Northwest Cameroon, going back to school is far from easy. The crisis, displacement, the loss of parents, and the extreme economic vulnerability of some families make access to education particularly difficult for many children. Faced with this reality, Estrellas de Camerún has chosen to dedicate its support to a concrete action led by Étoiles du Cameroun, with a simple conviction: solidarity can truly transform a child’s future.
A first initiative alongside Étoiles du Cameroun
Last February, Étoiles du Cameroun organized its first initiative in Nkambe, enabling several orphaned children who were not attending school to join the school system mid-year. For the 2026-2027 school year, the initiative is expanding to include Nkambe and Kumbo. Stars of Cameroon has chosen to support this new phase. For this school year, many children, primarily in nursery and primary school, have benefited from support that includes school material, a backpack, a uniform, and school fees.
A concrete contribution to access to education
For Estrellas de Camerún, supporting this project is not just about contributing to the purchase of school supplies. It is primarily about supporting access to education for particularly vulnerable children. A child who can go to school has an additional opportunity to learn, develop their skills, and gradually build their future. In this endeavor, Estrellas de Camerún is providing support alongside Étoiles du Cameroun.
Starting to build the future, one child at a time
This first participation by Estrellas de Camerún in this initiative marks an important step in its commitment to supporting Étoiles du Cameroun's projects for the benefit of vulnerable populations in Cameroon. The goal is to contribute to actions that meet immediate needs while also opening up opportunities for the future. Because behind every notebook, every uniform, and every school registration, there is a child who receives the opportunity to continue learning and dreaming of their future. In Nkambe and Kumbo, the start of the 2026-2027 school year represents much more than just the beginning of the academic year. For these children, it is another step towards a future that we can begin to shape together.
